QuiltCon 2026 Community Outreach Sew-In
Designed by SeaMQG member Lindsey Berres
Date: Saturday, 9/13, 12:30 - 5:30 pm
Address: SPL Northgate Branch, 10548 5th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125
Meeting location: The meeting room is just inside the east entrance of the library
Supplies: Please bring your sewing machine, blue and white cotton thread, and any other notions you may need. We'll have a mat and rulers for trimming plus a pressing station. The fabric is pre-cut (thank you, volunteers!) and ready to sew.
Come help create our group quilt for the QuiltCon 2026 community outreach challenge! We will be piecing the curved blocks and foundation paper piecing (FPP) sections at this sew-in.
We'd recommend coming in with at least some experience with sewing either curves or FPP, but don't worry, there is extra trimming space in all the curved blocks! The FPP sections have pre-creased papers, with a mix of beginner and intermediate difficulty. (We will be using standard paper, not freezer paper.)
Please select from the two techniques when you sign up so that we can achieve the right balance across the team.
We look forward to seeing you there!
