Seattle Modern Quilt Guild Holiday Party 2025

Join us for a full day of sewing, games, and PRIZES! Bring your sewing machine or handwork and we’ll provide lunch (additional details below).

Get excited because we’ll be raffling off prizes (combined total value at over $1,000) every hour! There is no cost to receive a raffle ticket. By showing up, you will receive one raffle ticket. Take a look at some of the prizes from our generous sponsors Bernina of Renton, Wyldwood Creative, KAI Scissors, & Eudaimonia Studio.

White Elephant Gift Exchange Game

This year we will be hosting a White Elephant Gift exchange. IF you wish to participate, please bring one prewrapped gift unmarked/untagged, valued at no more than $15. The item does not have to be sewing/quilting related.

· As a refresher, here is how a White Elephant Gift exchange game is played:

1. Participants will draw numbers to determine the order in which each person selects a gift

2. The first player selects any gift from the pile, opens it and shows it to the group

3. The next players can pick an unopened gift from the pile OR steal an already opened gift from another player

4. If your gift is stolen, you can immediately choose another unopened gift or steal from someone else (other than the person that just stole from you)

5. A gift can only be stolen up to 3 times in total. After the third steal, it can no longer be stole

6. Continue until every gift has been opened & everyone has a gift

· We will provide lunch but please plan to bring your own water.

· We are providing options for those with nut, dairy or gluten allergies.

· Dessert will be potluck style! Please bring a dessert of your choice with the ingredients clearly labeled. We will have some bags available for you to share your goodies so that others may take home a few of each.

Other notes: Please note we have limited space/electrical outlets available, therefore please indicate via your RSVP if you will be bringing your sewing machine.
