Agenda:
FPP Pattern Design with QuiltAssistant IN PERSON (3 hours)
Learn to create your own foundation paper piecing (FPP) patterns using QuiltAssistant, free software built by quilter Arnout Cosman. Start with an image and draw seam lines, and the program then generates numbered segments, a color palette, print layouts, and fabric requirements. It’s also easy to resize patterns, change seam allowances, and add borders.
We’ll review the QuiltAssistant interface and practice creating two blocks together, covering tips for FPP pattern design along the way. You’ll then have time to work on your own pattern from an electronic image of your choice. The afternoon is optional: try out more designs or print and sew.
