Lately, quilted fashion has been all the rage! From quilt coats, to quilted shoes and quilted hats, the options are endless. Learn more about the steps in the process and a few considerations to keep in mind as you explore quilted garments. Kimberly will walk us through the steps she typically takes and will show a few videos demonstrating the process. We will also have a chance to see some of the examples of shoes and garments she has made in her journey.

About Our Guest Speaker:
Kimberly Bennefield, an avid sewist, modern quilter, and bag maker who began quilting in 2015 and quickly found community through her local Modern Quilt Guild.
With a 20‑year career in technology and design at companies like Nike and Intel, Kimberly now works in UX while nur turing her passion for sewing, quilting, and garment making under both NW Pepper and BlackWebDiva.com. Originally from a small Texas town, she’s also a wife, mother of a blended family of seven, grandmother of nine, and a proud sports, comic book, sci‑fi, music, baking, painting, and gardening enthusiast.
